Acceptable Usage Policy

Material
Illegal material is prohibited.

Rules
At no time may customer negatively affect the service of others. Any form of aggression directed at any other network, person, group, or organization, is strictly prohibited. Customer agrees to follow any rules and regulations of any networks they use in transit to or from Mobohosting.

System Security
Customer must make a reasonable attempt to keep all servers or equipment updated and patched with the latest security errata. Mobohosting is not responsible for customers server or equipment security. Any hacked server will be disconnected from the network immediately to minimize security threats to other customers and protect customers data. No credits will be issued for outages resulting from disconnection due to compromised server security.

Network Security
Violations of system or network security are strictly prohibited, and may result in criminal and/or civil liability. Mobohosting investigates all incidents involving violations and will cooperate with law enforcement if a criminal violation is suspected.

Email
Mobohosting has a zero tolerance policy for spam and junk email. Spam and junk mail are defined as the sending of the same, or substantially similar, unsolicited electronic mail messages, whether commercial or not, to more than one recipient. A message is considered unsolicited if it is sent to a recipient who has not requested or invited the message. Using the network for the receipt of replies to unsolicited mass email sent from another network is prohibited. Forgery of email headers is prohibited. Running a mail server that accepts messages for sending without user identification or authentication (open relays) is prohibited.

Proxies
Unauthenticated proxies are prohibited.

IRC
IRC connections are not permitted.

Fraud Policy
Customer must provide contact and payment information to Mobohosting and customer must be authorized to use the payment method. Commitment of fraud or attempting to obtain services by any means with intent to avoid payment is prohibited.

IP Allocation
Mobohosting maintains a network on which multiple customer servers reside. Customers shall not use IP addresses that were not assigned to them by Mobohosting staff. Any server utilizing IP addresses outside of customers assigned range will be removed from the network until the IP address overlap can be corrected. The use of an unauthorized IP address will result in a penalty of $100.

Reseller Policy
Resellers are responsible for the conduct of their customers and agree that their customers will follow the AUP. Resellers agree to make their customers aware of the AUP.

Reconciliation
Violations of the AUP will result in a email notification or telephone message describing the reason for the temporary disruption of service and the expected resolution.

Situations involving law enforcement, fraud, hacking, network interference, denial of service, or other malicious activity may result in immediate termination.

Failure to resolve the AUP violation will result in termination of services.
